The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed concerning the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office devoted to service the area each day. The provider issue created for intervention encounters a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, status sassa which makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to empower the servicing of all buyers and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
